LGANT Constitution & Governance Charter
The LGANT Constitution came into existence when LGANT was incorporated into a single peak representative body in 1992. The LGANT constitution can only be updated following a resolution at a General Meeting, Special General Meeting or Annual General Meeting.
The LGANT Governence Charter sets out the respective roles, responsibilities and authorities of members of the Executive, the Chief Executive Officer and staff in setting the direction, management and control of the Local Government Association of the Northern Territory.
This charter is subject to, and is intended to complement, the provisions of the Constitution. Where the Charter is inconsistent with the Constitution, the provisions of the Constitution prevail
