Advocacy & Representation

To ensure effective communication and discussion on all issues regarding local government, LGANT delivers a variety of meetings for our members to put forward ideas to resolve the complex issues involved with local government.

These meetings include the LGANT Annual General Meeting, LGANT General Meeting, CEO Forum, Finance Reference Group, Governance Reference Group, Community Services Reference Group, Environment, Transport & Infrastructure Reference Group and the Human Resource Reference Group.

Furthermore, LGANT has representatives on many outside committees. These representatives provide a useful contribution to these committees from a local government perspective and the knowledge gained from being on these committees can be shared with other local governments in the Northern Territory.
