ALGWA NT Mentoring Program
The Australian Local Government Women’s Association (ALGWA) is committed to supporting both female Elected Members and Officers. Whether you are in or considering entering local government, you may seek advice or support from experienced women in the Industry.
ALGWA NT received funding to set up a mentoring network for women in Local Government across the NT. The NT network will form part of a national program aimed at providing a network of women in local government. The NT will pilot the program in 2010 and report back to the national body on how effective this program has been.
Mentors will be collated by the ALGWA NT Committee and are chosen by their local government experience and willingness to support other women. Mentors are sourced from remote and urban Councils and Shires and have a wide variety of interests and experience.
