NT Election Paper

The Local Government Association of the Northern Territory today released its 2005 NT Election Paper entitled “Resourcing Local Government for the future”.

Association CEO Tony Tapsell said today “This paper sets out a number of policy priorities that local government wants political parties to address as we move towards a Northern Territory election. The Association’s Executive approved the paper on 11 March 2005”.

“The issues in the paper are the issues that are important to local government in its drive to achieve its rightful place in the federation. The Association looks forward to hearing from political parties concerning their responses to the issues,” Mr Tapsell stated.
